Pm-kisan yojna eligibility

 I believe you are referring to the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-Kisan) which is a government scheme launched in India to provide income support to small and marginal farmers.


Under this scheme, eligible farmers receive direct income support of Rs. 6,000 per annum in three equal installments of Rs. 2,000 each, credited directly into their bank accounts.



The eligibility criteria for PM-Kisan are as follows:


1-Ownership of cultivable land: The scheme is applicable to all farmers who own cultivable land, including those who are holding land on lease or have a sharecropping agreement.


2-Landholding limit: The scheme is applicable to farmers with a maximum landholding of two hectares.


3-Age: There is no age limit for availing the benefits of this scheme.


4-Income tax payers: Farmers who are paying income tax are not eligible for this scheme.


5-Professional category: Farmers who are in any of the following professions are not eligible for the scheme:


i. Former and present holders of constitutional posts

ii. Former and present ministers and state ministers and former/present Members of Parliament

iii. Former and present Mayors of Municipal Corporations, Chairpersons of District Panchayats

iv. Serving or retired officers and employees of State/Central Government Ministries/Offices/Departments and its field units, Central and State Public Sector Undertakings and Attached offices/Autonomous Institutions under Government as well as regular employees of the Local Bodies (Excluding Multi-Tasking Staff / Class IV/Group D employees)

v. All persons who paid Income Tax in last assessment year.
